Portland, Maine Wellness Photography: A Session with K'Intu Healing Arts
I am so happy to share a sneak peek of my recent photography session with Kat of K'Intu Healing Arts, who offers Structural Integration, Craniosacral Therapy, and Abdominal Bodywork at her studio in Portland, Maine. We scheduled our shoot for midday, letting the natural light diffuse through her gauze curtains instead of using a flash. I loved getting to observe how much care, concentration, and connection goes into Kat's work, and how skilled she is at tuning into the body, which was evident even as we moved through our session with our model.
Structural Integration and Craniosacral Therapy aren't always easy to picture from a website description alone. Our goal for this session was to give people a real sense of what happens in studio: hands-on work that's slow, attentive, and collaborative, rather than something you lie back and disappear into. In our session, we created a set of images that show contact, presence, and the quiet focus of a practitioner who's fully in the room with her client.
This is the kind of shoot I love most in my work as a photographer for small, wellness business owners: building a library of images that actually reflect what a practitioner does, so a potential client can look at the photos and understand the work before they ever book a session. Thank you, Kat, for having me as your photographer. Here is a sneak peek of some of my favorites are below.
